The Sheringham Potty Festival is renowned for its dedication to preserving and celebrating traditional Morris dancing. Named after Sheringham’s own ‘Lobster Potties’ Morris side, the festival has been delighting visitors since 1993. Grand Parade: The festival kicks off with a spectacular parade featuring nearly 40 Morris sides, weaving its way through Sheringham’s bustling streets.
Town-Wide Performances: Throughout Saturday and Sunday, you’ll find dancers performing at multiple venues across the town. Just wander through Sheringham, and you’re sure to stumble upon a captivating display!
Folk Music Sessions: Beyond the dancing, the festival embraces folk music with lively sessions and sing-arounds at various venues. Look out for local favourites like the Sheringham Shantymen, who often perform at Lifeboat Plain and local pubs.

In 2018, the Sheringham Potty Festival even set a Guinness World Record for the largest Morris dance, a testament to the scale and popularity of this unique gathering!
